What to Do At Deer Lake Resort:
Deer Lake is a 40 acre catch and release no gas motor lake which sports trophy largemouth bass, northern pike and has been stocked with over 9000 walleye since 1992. A 41" musky, a 27" walleye and a 22" bass were caught and released on this lake. No one else on the lake but you, three 14' fishing boats with electric trolling motors, 2 paddle boats and a canoe. Walk one mile north through the woods will bring you to our dock and boat on 62 acre Tamarack lake for Northern and Crappie. One mile east brings you to our dock with a rowboat and canoe on 528 acre Birch Lake for A Class musky and walleye fishing. Pretty hard to get skunked at Deer Lake Resort. Deer Lake Fishing Photos

Snowmobiling is only part of the winter activities available at Deer Lake. You can snowshoe, ski, ice skate or use the abundance of snow to build a huge snow person.
Snow shoeing has become one of our favorites. Cutting through the woods anywhere on our 1150 acres can bring you to some beautiful views!
Over a mile to the north end of the property will bring you to a beautiful ridge overlooking Tamarack Lake. It makes for a great lunch spot with no one on the trails but you! There are also a couple of public trails in the area.
Snowmobiling is the winter sport of choice for many of our guests. Bring your own or rent locally and check out the thousands of miles of public trails in northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. For younger riders, Deer Lake has about 8 miles of trails on the property that they can safely ride without the danger of traffic.
Downhill skiing is a 45 minute drive north of us. Blackjack, Powder horn, and Indianhead offer a variety of skill level trails. Ask us to arrange a ski package for your group! Blackjack Ski Resort and Indianhead Mountain Resort & Ski Area website will give you some ideas.
